Together:
Good
Morning,
Grace
Church!
Greta:
That
is
how
Mrs.Walker’s
first
grade
students
greet
us
each
time
we
go
to
read
to
them
at
Payne
Elementary
School.
I
am
Greta…
Joe:
And
I
am
Joe,
and
we
would
like
to
talk
to
you
this
morning
about
the
way
we
share
our
faith
through
Grace
Church!
Greta:
We
would
like
to
thank
Grace
Church
for
this
time
to
give
you
some
background
on
us
and
to
talk
about
faith
sharing
journey.
I
grew
up
on
a
farm
in
Ohio
in
a
family
of
seven
and
my
dad
was
a
veterinarian.
My
mom
was
a
Catholic
and
so
every
Sunday
we
attended
church
in
the
nearest
town
about
10
miles
from
home.
Actually
the
only
time
that
I
recall
ever
missing
Mass,
was
one
December
morning,
when
we
were
driving
to
town
to
go
to
church
and
the
car
got
stuck
in
a
snowdrift!
After
graduating
from
Ohio
State,
I
married
my
first
husband,
had
two
daughters
moved
to
Springfield,
and
took
them
to
Mass
on
Sunday
at
St.
Bernadette’s
Church
down
the
road.
Joe:
.
I
was
born
in
Sacramento
California.
My
father
was
a
Baptist
mister.
Like
Greta,
I
grow
up
on
a
farm.
In
my
case,
we
ran
a
dairy.
I
had
many
wonderful
memories
of
growing
up
in
that
environment.
I
remember
that
my
twin
sister
and
I
sang
specials
on
many
Sunday
mornings
and,
of
course,
I
remember
getting
up
very
early
every
morning,
including
Sundays,
and
milking
the
cows.
In
1995,
I
meet
Greta
and
we
got
married
in
1996.
All
through
out
life,
I
have
felt
like
the
Lord
has
blessed
me
and
he
certainly
was
watching
over
me
when
I
met
Greta.
At
that
time
I
rededicated
my
life
to
be
a
better
Christian
Greta:
When
Joe
asked
me
to
marry
him
5
years
ago,
we
both
knew
that
we
wanted
to
be
married
in
a
church.
Joe
suggested
that
since
he
was
a
Baptist,
and
I
was
a
Catholic,
we
should
consider
finding
a
new
church
and
a
new
religion,
to
start
our
new
lives
together.
After
visiting
several
other
churches,
we
came
to
Grace,
and
immediately
knew
that
this
was
our
new
church
home.
To
us,
the
church
was
not
the
walls
or
the
pews,
it
was
the
spirit
of
the
angels
that
resided
here,
the
spirit
of
you!
We
have
so
much
to
be
thankful
for,
today
and
every
day.
God
has
generously
blessed
us
with
loving
family,
friends
and
faith.
Jesus
said,
"Whatever
you
do
for
the
least
of
my
people,
that
you
do
unto
me".
That
is
such
a
powerful
message
to
me.
To
me,
it
means
that
the
best
way
I
can
thank
God
for
all
his
blessings
is
to
do
something
every
single
day
for
someone
else
to
make
them
happy,
or
to
improve
their
lives.
Grace
has
provided
us
with
countless
invitations
or
opportunities
to
do
just
that!
This
Sunday
last
year,
Joe
and
I
agreed
to
make
one
of
the
deliveries
of
the
food
donations
to
one
of
the
families.
It
didn’t
seem
like
any
big
deal
at
the
time.
We
found
the
place
on
the
map;
it
was
a
nice
town
house
in
a
nice
neighborhood.
In
an
odd
sense
it
seemed
too
nice.
But
as
we
approached
the
door,
and
rang
the
bell
a
50ish
year
old
woman
approached
walking
with
a
cane.
She
smiled
when
she
say
the
decorations
on
the
outside
of
the
bags,
and
then
tears
came
to
her
eyes
as
she
thanked
us
for
the
gift
of
the
food
and
proceeded
to
tell
us
that
she
had
a
stroke
about
4
months
earlier,
which
explained
why
one
side
of
her
face
and
hand
seemed
paralyzed.
She
said
that
her
small
disability
check
barely
covered
the
mortgage
payment
and
utilities
and
so
the
gift
of
the
Thanksgiving
food
would
make
a
huge
difference
to
her
children’s
holiday.
We
walked
away
knowing
that
the
angels
at
Grace
Church
who
had
shopped
for
and
contributed
the
food,
written
checks
to
purchase
the
turkeys
and
packed
those
festive
bags,
had
once
again
made
a
difference
in
someone
else’s
life.
I
am
humbled
by
the
number
and
generosity
of
the
angels
in
this
church,
and
the
opportunities
and
invitations
to
anyone
who
wants
to
participate.
The
joy
we
experience
is
overwhelming,
and
the
feeling
is
contagious!
Joe:
There
are
many
areas
at
Grace
Church
that
we
feel
truly
blessed
to
be
a
part
of
and
have
an
opportunity
to
share
my
faith
with
others.
Greta
and
I
have
taught
the
4th,
5th
and
6th
Grade
Sunday
school
classes
for
the
last
four
years.
This
has
been
one
of
our
most
gratifying
experiences.
Every
weekend
we
have
the
grand
opportunity
to
share
our
faith
with
many
young
people
of
the
church.
We
have
learned
from
this
how
to
listen
better
and
to
be
better
students
of
the
bible.
Greta
and
I
truly
feel
that
we
are
blessed
to
have
such
wonderful
children
for
an
hour
every
Sunday.
Another
area
of
faith
sharing
is
at
Paine
Elementary
Reading.
Although,
we
read
regular
school
related
books
with
a
learning
story,
we
have
the
opportunity
to
set
an
example
to
these
young
impressible
students
and
it
is
our
chance
to
show
them
that
we
really
care
and
what
it
is
to
be
a
good
Christian.
We
do
this
by
being
patient
and
having
a
good
time
with
them.
I
will
always
remember
last
year
when
our
theme
was
flying
on
an
airplane
to
different
countries.
I
started
every
reading
period
by
having
all
the
young
students
get
on
the
plane
and
we
would
take
off
for
the
new
country
that
we
were
reading
about
that
day.
It
was
always
fun
for
them
and
me
when
we
would
move
to
another
room
down
the
hall.
I
would
line
the
children
up
in
front
of
me
to
move
to
the
new
room.
It
was
quite
a
sight
to
see
all
these
little
kids
with
their
outstretched
arms
acting
like
a
747
flying
to
the
next
room.
I
knew
God
was
blessing
me
with
this
experience
and
giving
these
children
a
chance
to
imagine
flying
to
another
country.
It
is
really
great
to
be
an
ambassador
of
Grace
Church.
One
of
the
other
areas
at
Grace
Church
that
I
really
enjoy
is
the
Grace
Men's
fellowship
group.
We
meet
on
the
second
Saturday
of
every
month.
I
believe
every
meeting
is
a
special
one
because
on
every
occasion
a
different
member
sponsors
the
meeting
at
their
house
and
the
group
discussion
format
is
set
up
in
such
a
way
that
it
really
gives
us
a
chance
to
share
our
life
experiences
and
to
share
our
faith.
This
month
we
took
a
field
trip
to
Steve
Dryer's
house
in
Front
Royal.
One
would
think
the
trip
would
be
a
long
one
(approximately
1
hour),
but
the
fellowship
on
the
way
down
was
so
enjoyable,
the
trip
seemed
to
only
take
a
few
minutes.
I
feel
really
blessed
to
have
faith-sharing
experiences
like
these.
Greta:
I
was
a
catholic
for
40
years,
but
I
didn’t
know
the
real
meaning
of
Faith
until
we
found
Grace.
We
were
married
in
this
church
5
years
ago,
and
our
lives
and
our
marriage
has
been
enriched
because
of
the
glory
and
the
spirit
of
the
angels
and
the
opportunity
to
share
our
blessings
with
others.
Joe:
We
have
had
much
fun
and
enjoyable
faith
sharing
experiences
at
Grace
Church
and
we
believe
the
church
is
made
up
of
many
caring
and
wonderful
people.
Many
lives
are
changed
everyday
by
the
wonderful
and
faithful
work
of
the
people
of
Grace
Church
and
we
are
delighted
to
be
part
of
that
group!!!
