an
opening
prayer
and
welcomed
the
Grace
Honduras
Mission
Home
Team
to
the
meeting.
Kathleen
McClelland,
who
is
serving
as
Grace’s
medical
person,
provided
the
team
with
some
general
medical
information
including,
among
other
things,
possible
illnesses
and
diseases,
prevention
and
treatment,
shots,
pills,
safety
and
protection,
and
food/drink
cautions.
The
team
then
heard
from
its
activity
team
leaders:
Greta
Miller
stated
that
the
school
programs/books/hygiene
committee
is
progressing
nicely
with
crafts,
bible
lessons,
and
other
programs;
Theresa
Cipriano
stated
that
the
Home
Kits
for
nearly
70
families
would
be
approximately
$20
per
kit.
Theresa
will
present
a
"Minute
for
Mission"
at
next
Sunday’s
church
service
to
show
the
congregation
a
sample
home
kit
and
advise
and
encourage
everyone
that
they
can
"sponsor"
a
home
kit;
The
suitcase
committee
headed
by
Kim
Hatfield
related
that
it
appears
that
members
have
generously
donated
enough
suitcases;
Judy
Reiske
advised
that
circles
were
contacted
and
to
date
they
have
provided
two
suitcases
full
of
sewing
supplies;
Erik
Hawkins
reported
that
he
is
working
on
getting
supplies
for
the
Fiesta;
and
Joe
Miller
related
that
the
well
project
is
on
hold
pending
arrangements
with
the
Honduran
government
and
its
water
authority.
More
information
is
needed,
and
when
known,
the
congregation
will
be
advised.
Greta
Miller
then
provided
the
team
with
a
quick
overview
of
what
personal
supplies
were
needed
for
the
trip
to
Honduras
and
what
one
may
want
to
consider
packing
including,
but
not
limited
to,
four
changes
of
clothes,
gloves,
hygiene
pack,
hat,
backpack,
water
container,
journal,
long
sleeve
shirt,
loose
and
lightweight
pants,
and
heavy
soled
shoes.
Greta
then
closed
the
meeting
with
prayer.
The
next
meeting
of
the
Grace
Honduras
Team
will
be
on
Saturday,
July
6,
2002,
at
2:00
p.m.
for
packing
day.
