Questions regarding Honduras
Mission Trip
1.
We are bringing sewing kits, supplies, fabric and trim.
Is there a sewing teacher available to go to the village with us?
2.
Will school be in session while we are at the village?
3.
If so, can we visit the school? We would like to give the teacher the school supplies that we
brought, and present the teacher with a wall hanging that our Sunday
School classes have made for the school.
If there is time, we have also prepared a Bible story for the
children (in Spanish) with a craft, which we would like to teach (in
Spanish). We have also
prepared a craft for the children to make so that we can bring it home
to share with our church, as a gift from the children to our church.
4.
We have received donations of eyeglasses, which we have had
calibrated and organized in strengths for men and women.
If possible, we would like to have an “eyeglasses day” when
we could bring the eyeglasses to the village, for any one who would like
to try on glasses, and see if they help improve their eyesight.
5.
We would like to have a little party for the village on our last
day there to present a gift to each family. Can we purchase watermelons in the area?
